We marched for it. We fought for it. We died for it.
But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.
John Adams, letter to Abigail Adams, July 17, 1775
You will not make a joke of it.
The vote is a trust more delicate than any other, for it involves not just the interests of the voter, but his life, honor and future as well.

GOP Senate Leader Endorses Spoiler Candidates
MADISON, Wis. — The Republican leader of the Wisconsin state Senate said he supports having Republicans run as Democrats in recall elections in order to force a primary.
Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (pictured before those who fought and died above) said Tuesday that running so-called protest candidates is a tool available to help Republican candidates have more time to campaign. He said the Republican senators have known about the plan for weeks.
The state Republican Party is actively recruiting candidates to run in at least two of the recall elections targeting six Republican state senators.

When politics trumps honor, what is left?
Fitzgerald says, “running so-called protest candidates is a tool available to help Republican candidates.”
Now, elections are a political tool. You can just play around with elections, to suite your purpose. If you need more time to campaign, who cares about the cost, confusion, and gaming with voting and the election process?
What happened to Wisconsin?
When did the people lose their respect for those who fought, marched, and died for the right to vote? Are we going to stand by and allow this mockery to of the electoral process in this state to be used as a tool? A political game?
It wasn’t shameful enough that the GOP was making calls for Alberta Darling to subvert the vote right through Memorial Day (read “Darling Disgrace” weekend, but now we are asked to participate in spoiler elections as though voting was all some big joke!
It is a free country, because of our veterans and those who died, the GOP leaders can swindle signatures for recall petitions and use the vote and elections to play political games, but they cannot force us to participate, condone or tolerate the mockery they are heaping on Wisconsin.
We will not dishonor the men and women who fought to vote, our veterans who died to defend it, or our families’ good conscience by following your lead.
We will not be shamed by following your disrespectful lead!
You cannot believe in honor until you have achieved it. Better keep yourself clean and bright: you are the window through which you must see the world.
