CURVE Ball – Chris Mathews

Chris Mathews throws “sucker” pitches from his MSNBC “Hardball” platform

Yes. MSNBC is touting the Chris Mathew’s “Documentary”:  “Chris Matthews explores Hillary Clinton’s historic political course, from first lady to Secretary of State, and potentially first woman elected president of the United States. msnbc_hillaryboycottTune in Sunday at 9pm ET on MSNBC.”

HA!  This is not “Hardball”, but a curve ball – a spit ball delivered by a once great pitcher from a mound of defeated journalistic ideals.

Bernie supporters are well aware and furious at the unbalanced, skewed, and slanted messaging spewing from MSNBC and CNN. After all, why would Comcast or Time Warner want to pay their just taxes under the reign of that “socialist” Bernie Sanders?  But Chris Mathews has reinvented his “Hardball” platform to become little more than glee club for the Hillary campaign. Why is Mathew’s Hillary cheer leading any more insidious than that of his MSNBC and CNN mates? Mathew’s wife Kathleen (pictured above with her Hardball hubby) is running for Congress Maryland’s 8th District! Well how about them apples? And the proof of his unfair use of position lies within the winding strings within Mathew’s Hardball.

MSNBC Produces “Hillary” Documentary with Chris Mathews and Kathleen Gets the Prize

OK. Last June Mathews admitted the “possible” conflict of interest presented by Kathleen’s run for Congress.

“As a journalist, I also know how mathews_socialistimportant it is to respect certain boundaries on my support for her both in my public role and here on MSNBC. And while most of you know that our show doesn’t typically cover congressional races, I will continue to fully disclose my relationship with her as part of MSNBC’s commitment to being transparent and fair in our coverage.”

Well I have not heard him mention the “conflict” even once since that time. Have you?

All of my former favorite shows have become cheer sections for Hillary, but in the case of Chris Mathews the over reach and blatant disregard for anything approaching journalism has crossed a line. Isn’t it interesting how the Hillary Doc cropped up immediately after her anticipated victory in the New York Primary? Like it just showed up at the right time. Right.

So, how has Chris Mathews used his platform for Kathleen’s benefit?

“Using Federal Election Commission data andmsnbc_cheerleaders3 Hardball transcripts, The Intercept has identified 48 frequent guests of Matthews’s program who have made donations to the Kathleen Matthews for Congress campaign. These individuals, their spouses, or their political action committees donated $79,050 as of December 31, 2015 — about 5 percent of the $1.5 million Matthews had raised as of that time.”

“Some of the guests made the donations after they were on the show — in some cases, long after. But in at least 11 of these cases, the Hardball guests appeared on the program after Kathleen Matthews announced her candidacy, and without any disclosure of the donations. And in at least three of those cases, the donations came within days of the MSNBC appearance.” Read more

I will NOT be watching Chris Mathew’s documentary of the joy of being on the good side of Hillary Clinton Sunday night. Nope!
